Thomas Matthias Lenihan by Sister Mary Paul Keefe. 1845-1901. Born at Mallow county, Cork, Ireland, May 12, 1845. Pastor of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Decorah, Iowa, 1868-1870. Corpus Chrisi Church, Fort Dodge, 1870-1890, and adjacent missions. Consecrated bishop, February 24, 1897. Bishop Lenihan was one of the ablest and most widely known missionary priests of the Middle West. Bishop of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Died in Marshalltown, Iowa, December 16, 1901.
