Flown over US Capitol December 28, 1846, forwarded to us by David Lynn, Architect of the Capitol, through the courtesy of Hon. Thomas E. Martin, congressmen from the First Congressional District of Iowa. The date being the 100th birthday anniversary of Iowa's admittance into the Union. A letter form David Lynn, Architect of the Capitol accompanied the flag and certifying that same was flown over the capitol on above date.
