Object Name Shell, Artillery
Description Empty Government Shells, 45-70/55. Shells show dirt, patina, and were secured to old exhibit with silicone glue, some of which is still present. 1873 design: straight rimmed case slightly inclined toward front, .458 inch diameter at neck, .608 inch diameter of rim, 2.105 inch long, 2.55 inch with bullet. Original paper label stated: Found on Reno Hill, June 25, 1926, exactly 50 years after the battle of the Little Big Horn. (Bullets may have been added for display - 1970's)
