Azro Benjamin Franklin Hildreth by Charles A. Cumming. 1816-1909. Legislator, journalist. Born in Chelsea, Vermont, February 29, 1816. Removed to Charles City, Iowa, 1856. Founder of the Charles City Intelligencer, 1856, and continued its publication to 1870. Member of Board of Education, 1858. Representative, 10th Iowa General Assembly, 1864. Appointed by Governor Kirkwood as Draft Commissioner for Floyd County, Civil War. President, Floyd County Savings Bank, 1873. Died in Charles City, Iowa, November 29, 1909.
