Description Grape Shot, Confederate that struck Nathan D. King at the battle of Pea Ridge (Civil War). He took it from his leg and sent it home. King had enlisted under Co. Grenville M. Dodge, in the 4th Iowa, Co., K in Taylor County. He was made sergeant after he was wounded. He was killed at the Battle of Missionary Ridge November 24. 1863. Sergeant King was an uncle of Nathan O. Hickenlooper, father of Governor B.B. Hickenlooper
