HISTORY:
The 38 star national flag was introducted in 1877 after Colorado joined the United States on Ausgust 1, 1876. This flag would represent the nation for 13 years, until it was replaced by the 43 star flag in 1890 due to North and South Dakota, Montana, Washington, and Idaho
