Shawl, beige silk, belonged to Isabelle Milne Ogilvie
Adam Ogilvie of Keith Scotland came to this contry and settled in Bloomington, Iowa, now Muscatine, in about 1836. His bride to be Isabelle Milne came from Keith Scotland accompanied by her father in a sailing vessel, which took them six weeks. Adam Ogilvie and Isabelle Milne were married in New York and returned to Bloomington, Iowa to make their home. He had the first or second store there, the upper story being the inn which stood on the present sight of the Muscatine Hotel. This shawl was a gift from her husband.
