Description Irish whisky, glass, Cantrell & Cochrane, Belfast, Ireland
Update November 2003: Cantrell & Cochrane are mineral waters and 'family beverages', not whiskey. Their aereated sarsparilla was introduced by Cantrell in 1856, 'manufactured from the receipt of a United States Physician and Chemist, and is exactly similar to the preparation in such general use in America'. Belfast was a major exporter of mineral waters from artesian wells, from the 1850s up to about the 1920s.
